Having spent March with the England squad, Ben Foden came back to club action in the Guinness Premiership trip to Leeds. He immediately put in an outstanding attacking performance capped with a late try and followed that up a week later by being rock solid under the high ball in the Thomond Park cauldron.

Ignacio Fernandez Lobbe

Ignacio Fernandez Lobbe

After missing a few weeks with injury, Nacho Lobbe came back into the Saints team with a vengeance in the home games against Gloucester and Saracens. He also put in an inspirational performance as captain in the narrow defeat to Bath at the Recreation Ground.

James Downey has once again been the rock in the Saints’ midfield, getting the team over the gain line and putting in the big hits in defence. Indeed Downey is in the top 10 Guinness Premiership tackle makers but he also continues to free up space for the runners around him.

This is Lee Dickson’s third successive month in the short list for the Let Yourself Grow award and is recognition for another series of consistent performances that included a man of the match award in the Guinness Premiership win over Gloucester.
