Royal & Derngate is the main venue for arts and entertainment in Northampton. Recently the subject of a £15 million redevelopment project, the theatre offers two auditoria and Underground, a creativity centre that's home to the Youth Theatre and a wide range of workshops and projects for the local community.
The Fishmarket Gallery and arts centre is the flagship project of the Northampton Arts Collective (NAC) an independently run, not-for-profit arts organisation. Featuring the largest gallery space outside a city in the UK this impressive building has been transformed into a hub for creative activity.
View the important British collections of Sir Alfred East and Thomas Cooper Gotch. With up to 20 different exhibitions each year there is always something new to be enjoyed here including ceramics, sculpture, photography and paintings.
The Lighthouse theatre opened in May 2008 with 424 tiered seats at ground floor level and a further 143 in the balcony with six private boxes, this is the perfect venue to relax with a good show.
Winner of the 2008 Enjoy England Gold Award for Best Small Visitor Attraction. The House was remodeled by the world famous designer and architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh in his iconic Modernist style.
