The Run 09 – Northamptonshire takes place on Sunday 4th October (10am) and is for absolutely anyone and everyone. There are two distances, a 10km and a 5km route, plus shorter Children’s Races, all on closed roads. Both start and finish at Sixfields Stadium, home of the First Division Northampton Town (Cobblers) Football Club. Car-Parking is all on-site.
The 10km is the showpiece event passing, as it does, past some of Northampton’s wonderful churches, sports venues, town halls and market city streets, with music, art and dance to entertain the runners as they pass by. It is a relatively flat course with only very minor gradients finishes and a fast final half kilometre downhill into the finish at Sixfields Stadium.
The 5km course follows the main course for the first 2km before splitting off and returning to Sixfields Stadium via the Saints Rugby ground and a sweeping final half kilometre downhill to the finish.
