Northamptonshire is world renowned for its leather and footwear heritage, with almost 900 years' experience in footwear manufacture. The town is home to The British School of Leather Technology and still has the largest concentration of leather-related activity in the UK, with some 100 leather businesses employing highly skilled craftsmen and women.
This community of shoemakers and leather specialists have a deep seated knowledge in their craft and are passionate about their heritage. Their educational, manufacturing, technical and innovative expertise is recognised world wide.
